Naming ceremonies

Naming ceremonies are a formal way of welcoming a child into the family and community and bestow the name given to them in celebration. Elemental Guardians pledge their commitment to the child in a truly memorable event using the elements of air, fire, water and earth.  This ceremony is based in ancient Pagan Celtic practice, as such it is non-religious and therefore supportive and respectful of all faiths and religions.

Ceremonies are available for people entering into transitional periods in their life, for example a celebration of sobriety. Clear energies attached to the identity you seek to shed and  step onto a new path.  These ceremonies can be both healing and empowering.

I am fully qualified to provide civil non-legal wedding and handfasting ceremonies and vow renewals.

Pagan Celtic Handfasting

These sacred ceremonies are truly beautiful honouring authentic rituals of our ancestors. To celebrate your union, the four elements of air, fire, water and earth are used. Full ceremonies include jumping the besom broom,  hand tying with ribbons or cord and a cake and mead ritual. You may choose to add ring blessing and incense blending for a special immersive pre-wedding experience. These ceremonies are deeply personal, unscripted and delivered from the heart in the environment of your preference.

Civil Ceremonies

These ceremonies are scripted, meaning I write and share the story of your journey together, I am here to support you to create a unique script and ceremony representing who you are. Add elements of handfasting if you choose, poems, readings, music.  These ceremonies can be as demur or vibrant as you wish. The possibilities are limitless.

Uncoupling ceremonies

Uncoupling is a heartfelt ceremony to honour the end of the sacred union and journey walked together and to initiate the healing process of parting ways.  You will enter into the ivy circle and walk through the four elements of air, fire, water and earth and reflect on what was learnt and shared in your coupling,  speaking respectfully and finally releasing each other from the blessed union with love and compassion and onward well wishes.

Celebrations of Life 

Funeral Celebrant Service

I am an  independent funeral celebrant, trained by the Academy of Professional Celebrants to officiate funerals. I am here to support and guide you through this altered space in time.  The passing of a loved one can be  disorientating and heartbreakingly painful but also a relief when peace is found. I will listen and give time to sensitively create with you the best ceremony to honour and represent the person who has passed as a true celebration of their life lived.  Services are also available for celebrations of life/ memorial events, interment and scattering of ashes. Code of Practice

As with all professional services, I am bound by my Codes of Practice. As a registered nurse, I am also bound by the Nursing Midwifery Code of Practice and professional codes set out for celebrants. I am fully insured.

      Passing Over                Ceremonies  

 Passing Over Ceremonies

The essence of the celebration of life continues with  love and compassion in the passing over ceremony. This sacred ceremony can be held towards the end of a person’s life with person preparing for passing, before a funeral, as a memorial, or at any time after the death of the beloved. This space is deeply healing and can support transition to peace and soften grief. This ritual includes creating an alter space, and working through the elements in remembrance, culminating in a deep guided visualisation process. This is a powerful and important sacred ceremony for individuals or groups of families and friends.
